In a tradition that spans many CrossFit gyms around the U.S. and beyond, we are taking part in the Memorial Day Murph challenge. This years event will be held at 12 Labours Columbia. We have built a new outdoor rig and are looking forward to using it for this event.

Memorial Day Murph @ 12 Labours is free to all members, and is open to non-members as well. The workout is in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it "Body Armor". It is now referred to as "Murph" in honor of Michael, representing his passion for serving his country. Memorial day is the time of year to solely honor those who have been on the front lines for their country, but every time we take part in a hero workout, we are honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

The Resolution Games.....year four and onward. The inter-gym competition between all 12 Labours Locations is back!

The competition will consists of 2-person teams (male/male or female/female). Teams have the option to compete RX or Scaled. This is a great way to compete amongst friends, exhibit your strengths, and work with a fellow lion It's also an opportuniy to see what it's like to do a competition whether you're brand new or a seasoned vet.

Judging opportunities available as well! See the volunteer space if you want to help out and leave a comment with your preference (volunteer or judge)

Challenge yourself and your workout buddies from all locations. This is a LIVE way to see how you stack up outside of the Wodify coachboard and is also a great way to gear up for The Open! OPEX athlete camps are designed to teach you where you sit in the spectrum of fitness. We have designed the weekend to be difficult and organized so that it is doable for all levels of athletes that seek to see their innate genetic potential.

It is a fantastic way to understand where you sit today, and give you a set of tests that you can go back to later to understand how you either have or haven't progressed with your training. We create an open environment for athletes to give all they have on those two days with no judgment attached, just the TRUTH.

There are 2-4 testers per day; some testers will not be as hard as the others. Your results are compiled over the 2 days and we use the data to give you an idea of where you currently sit. We will test strength and skills, muscle endurance and all energy systems.

Whether you crush every test or struggle mightily there is no judgment, no right or wrong, just data on where you are at TODAY! We aim provide an environment that promotes learning and direction based on your goals and the results you put out during...

12L Nutririon Challenge

This is a challenge reimagined. It's not one of those things that you do for a month and then forget about until next year. The 2017 Winter Nutrition Challenge with 12 Labours is geared to help you put the little pieces together- from goals and performance, to nutrition and recovery.

We truly believe that this can benefit you in multiple ways, which is why this year we're stepping up the stakes (or steaks...) and hosting a 60-day nutrition challenge.

The quest to raise awareness and money for Barbells for Boobs has come again! We are excited for this community event and for the opportunity to come together over something that has affected many people personally in one way or another.

Join us as we participate in Amazing Grace, 30 Clean and Jerks for time while wearing the most, brightest pink possible. The event is to celebrate those who have fought and survived breast cancer, those who are no longer with us, and to continue raising awareness to get tested.

Last year we hosted an Ugly Sweater version in December... we're bringing B4B back to its original month, Breast Cancer Awareness month. We will begin heats of Amazing Grace at 10 AM and 12 Labours BWI.

Men and women of the armed forces work tirelessly to protect their nation on a daily basis. One sometimes overlooked effect of their increasingly demanding job is those that are lost to suicide. It has been reported that 22 Veterans commit suicide per day. The Active Hero's organization has the goal of spreading awareness of Veteran Suicide and is working with the fitness world to help.

On Saturday, August 20, 2016 12 Labours CrossFit will be hosting an "Active Heroes" WOD to raise awareness about veteran suicide while fundraising to provide programs for military families.

Donations are not required to participate, but are welcome. To donate, click here.

Level 1 Program Design is the technical cornerstone of the Level 1 CCP. This course introduces our methodology to create an optimal training program for any given training environment. Upon completion of the course each coach will have the ability to:

Year Three.

Team 12 Labours "Lions" arrived in Atlanta hungry for competition and ready to show the region that they were ready for the next level. Through a series of consistent and at times crucial finishes in the Atlantic Regionals, the team placed third. They punched their third consecutive ticket to the 2016 CrossFit Games.

Their continued success is testament to the focus of each individual athlete but also to the sheer harmony of their teamwork on and off the competition floor. They are fueled by each others successes, but remain inspired by the supporters behind them- athletes from around the world and throughout the 12 Labours community.

While the team continues to prepare for Carson, we are also coming together. The 12 Labours Fundraiser will take place July 9, 2016 at 12 Labours CrossFit BWI. We will participate in the official 12 Labours WOD while also raising money to support the team as they embark on their trip to California.

For the 2nd year in a row we will be sending a team to the CrossFit Games in Carson, CA on July 21st - 26th.

The team had a weekend full of ups and downs at the Atlantic Regional but with the help and support of the tremendous community they were able to hold on and keep moving.

Team 12 Labours' 3rd place finish punched their ticket to Carson for a second year in a row! We couldn't be more excited to represent the Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Community, more specifically the Greater Baltimore Area and all of our 12 Labours Affiliates.
