Our CrossFit ELEMENTS program is designed to get ALL new athletes familiar with the basic CrossFit movements that they will encounter in CrossFit. Learning movement patterns is important to us here at 12 Labours and we want members to feel comfortable in a regular class setting.
The goal at completion of the ELEMENTS is to have athletes prepped and ready to attend normal CrossFit classes with a basic knowledge of key movements:
We also offer a nutrition seminar twice a month for all new members to help you understand the kind of nutrition that supports CrossFit.
Each 12 Labours location offers ELEMENTS. These classes include lots of important information to get you up to speed with the barbell movements you will encounter — we'll make sure you know how to lift safely. Once you complete these classes, you'll be ready to jump into our ALL LEVELS CrossFit classes.
It's a great way to get your mind and body set before jumping into regular classes!
If it is difficult for you to attend the ELEMENTS classes, schedule one-on-one time with a coach and we can get you through the CrossFit basics in 2-4 sessions. You can attend ELEMENTS for as long as you want- only for the required time, or for longer- until you feel ready to attend the ALL LEVELS classes.
A little unsure? Don’t worry, you’re not alone! That’s why we created the ELEMENTS program — everyone in the class is new to CrossFit and eager to learn. It’s a great way to get started and learn in a controlled environment. We spend time teaching CrossFit movements so you can navigate the ALL LEVELS classes.
If you have any questions about the ELEMENTS at 12 Labours CrossFit:
You do have the option to test out of ELEMENTS in your intro session with one of our trainers. You'll need to show proficiency in all of the barbell movements listed above. However, if you have not done CrossFit at a registered Affiliate previously, we require all new members to go through ELEMENTS before entering normal classes. Safety first!
