A Hercules-Worthy Workout: 12 Labours Weekend

As the first heat of athletes started running, it was evident that the 12 Labours WOD was not an easy feat. But that didn’t matter. Over 100 athletes, 12 Labours members, non-members, and all-around badasses completed all 12 tasks like champions. 400 meter runs, prowler pushes, muscle ups, handstand pushups, Assault biking and other events kept everyone interested throughout the workout. The best part? That’s debatable. The worst part? That’s also debatable. But the consensus is that coming together for a good cause is worth a lot of sweat (and some cool prizes).

The workout was the main event, but the raffle prizes were also pretty awesome. lululemon gift cards and VIP store experiences, seafood from Congressional Seafood, massages, and personal training time were all raffled off and happily collected. Massage RX had a station during the event for recovery massages, with $5 from each massage going towards Team Syndicate//12 Labours. The Progenex table stayed busy fueling athletes with recovery shakes and the folks at Uberfit were outfitting everyone.

The morning flew by and all heats were finished by 12pm and the final tally began. YOU helped the 12 Labours team raise over $2,000 at this event! This helps the team tremendously as they plan their trip to California in a couple weeks.

A huge thank you is in order for a couple groups of people: everyone who spent time organizing the event and helping run it, and all of our generous sponsors who donated prizes for the event. The event wouldn’t have been possible without you.

We couldn’t be happier with the turnout of this event. The CrossFit community is always one to be reveled, and this is no exception. The team is completely overjoyed with the support they’ve received and is using that to fuel their fire for The Games.
