The squat cycle will progress from 5's to 3's in January. Now things are starting to get a little heavier! We'll be taking two weeks off from this cycle so make sure your numbers have been updated and recorded in Wodify before January.
For the next two weeks, prepare for some longer workouts geared towards testing your "go" button and pacing.
- Let's talk goals: Coach Luke Espe will be hosting a goal-setting seminar on January 9th. Here, he will cover training, direction, and mindset to help you on your path to success. This talk is the culmination of his experience at the Power Athlete coaches symposium along with his experience as a high-level CrossFit Games and GRID athlete. The talk will take successful attributes of high achieving athletes and help you apply them to your life in and out of the gym. Major keys to success. (He may drop some DJ Khaled lines as well, so be prepared) Free to 12 Labours members.
- Our Nutrition Team will be hosting a challenge geared towards "2016 CrossFit Open" readiness while also helping you get back on track if anything derailed your proper nutrition during the holidays. The nutrition challenge will kick off on January 23, 2016. Mark your calendars.
- January wouldn't be complete without Resolutions.... The Resolution Games. The third annual Resolution Games will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 12 Labours BWI. This is an inter-gym competition, all 12 Labours members are invited to compete. This year, we're making it a team competition. Teams consist of two people, 2 men or 2 women. There will be scaled and RX divisions for the teams.
