If you’ve attended an event at 12 Labours CrossFit, there is a high probability that Maili Godwin was the photographer. She has captured so many great memories for our members and we are so thankful for her commitment and hard work the past 8 years. It has been remarkable for the 12 Labours Community to stroll down memory lane through her captured moments.

The Beginning - January 2014

I had already agreed to photograph the very first Resolution Games and when the workouts were announced I posted to Facebook that the programming looked like so much fun I wished I had signed up to compete. To my surprise, there had been a last minute opening and the next thing I knew I was competing as well as photographing the event. It was a lot of fun, but I will never do both again. :)

  • Owner of Boris & Company Curious Photography. Specializing in fun photos of people. She loves working with kids, pets, and companies that hate stuffy photos.

  • Has worked as a professional photographer for over 25 years

  • Bachelor of Arts in Photography from UMBC

  • Uses Photoshop so often she sometimes has a layers palette in her dreams.

  • Introduced to CrossFit in 2008 while training for a 100 mile bike ride.

  • Joined 12 Labours in 2009 (Well, it was CrossFit BWI back then)

  • Photographed her first CrossFit event in 2010. (The Hopper Challenge)

  • Married to a CrossFit Coach- (Chris Woods of CrossFit Bethesda)

  • Most proud 12 Labours Moment: Competing in a USAPL powerlifting meet coached by Luke Espe

  • Likes: Squats, deadlifts & rowing. Dislikes: Wall-balls, Box Jumps, & Running
